Using the old Leksand ice arena as a basis for the new Ejendals Arena, home of the Leksand Ice Hockey Team, meant creative thinking regarding the ventilation system and its design.
The normal procedure for arenas is to place the air supplies as low as possible and allows the warm air to rise. The remaining parts of the old arena did not make this possible. After testing at Lindab’s laboratories, the decision was taken to opt for Lindab RCW-diffusers hung from the arena’s roof.
These rotational diffusers distribute the cooled air both horizontally and vertically and proved to be an ideal solution for the indoor climate at the new Ejendals Arena.
