The Silent Duct SDI is constructed as a conventional silencer. SDI consists of an outer pipe, a perforated inner pipe, a lining to prevent fibers from polluting the air, two end plates and an intermediate sound-absorbing material 25 mm or 50 mm thick.
A narrower, but longer silencer compensates for the reduced thickness of insulation compared with the traditional silencers with a thicker insulation. In certain cases it can be an advantage to use the length of the duct system instead of the width to achieve the desired attenuating effect. This is the idea behind Silent Duct.
SDI is also very well suited for efficient attenuation of noise from room to room.
SDI is available in dimensions from ø100 to ø500 (inner diameter) and in standard lengths of 3 m and 6 m.
Other lengths on request.
