Lindab UltraLink wins Product Innovation of the Year Award

The Commissioning Specialists Association presented the 2017 Product Innovation of the Year award to Lindab during a gala evening regarded as one of the leading events for the building services industry in the UK.

Lindab representatives from the Indoor Climate Solutions team and management attended the ceremony where CSA Vice Chairman, Mark Todd presented the award to Lindab UK ICS Sales Manager, Kirk Bracey.

Kirk says, “We are deeply honoured to accept this award on behalf of the 5,300 colleagues at Lindab and especially the research and development team at Grieve, Sweden. At Lindab, good thinking is a deeply rooted philosophy that guides us in everything we do; innovation moves us forward, allowing us to be at the leading edge of technology in this sector and enables us to solve some of the industry’s most complex challenges. UltraLink is a shining example of this philosophy.

By focusing on product development and continuous improvement, we develop products and solutions that are good from both a quality and environmental perspective. We take responsibility for creating sustainable development with products and services that streamline construction, improve energy efficiency and reduce resource consumption.”

Awarded for the most innovative commissioning product, new or redeveloped, introduced onto the market within the last 24 months; the Product Innovation of the Year accolade is much coveted. CSA judges granted the title to UltraLink, a unique product that changes measurement of flows and temperatures in ventilation systems. By providing more exact and thorough measurements even in low flows and air speeds, it offers major benefits in terms of energy efficiency, simplicity and cleaning. In the indoor climate solutions of the future, UltraLink is an important component, as its properties enable energy benefits that are in line with climate goals and contribute to achieving them.

The Commissioning Specialists Association is at the forefront of career development and training for the Building Services, Commissioning and HVAC industries in the UK. Lindab UK Marketing Manager, Heather Wolfenden says, “Receiving recognition from a respected industry association such as the CSA demonstrates to us, and importantly our customers, that continued investment in innovation secures Lindab’s position as an expert ventilation partner for the future.”
