The next generation of BIM objects for Lindab Rainwater Systems is now available for Revit

The first generation of BIM objects for Lindab Rainwater Systems was released over a year ago, and has been used by thousands of architects since then. We have made improvements and expanded the library continuously. During recent months, we have been working hard to make these BIM objects even better, and much more scalable to fit all the needs of our users.

Now it's here, and the new features are:

  • From now on, new objects will be part of the BIMobject┬« Cloud which will improve availability for you. The platform enables the objects to be up to date using version control, and works as an engine to get better collaboration between stakeholders and much more. The BIM objects will be available on and on
  • The objects contain the new colors added to the Lindab Rainline product range last year. These are Graphite Grey (NCS S 7502-B//RAL 7016) and Matt Anthracite (NCS S 6000-N/RAL 7037).
  • New material parameters which describe the products in more detail. The full set of parameters are Quality, Coating, Colour, NCS and RAL.
  • All gutter and downpipe smart objects families are available in two versions, one with nested shared objects and one simplified. The families with nested shared objects enable all products to be scheduled individually. Due to this, it is also possible to tag or keynote each product.
  • The nozzle can be switched On/Off in the downpipe systems. This feature enables the downpipe system to fit more complex wall outlines.

For details about the BIM objects and how to use them, please read the 'Rainline BIM for Revit' manual. The objects are designed for Autodesk Revit 2016.
