Building of the Month – June 2012

Steel building for the Polish agriculture in Parnica

Specific project of production hall and warehouse for cereal was built by Lindab Builder Multi Projekt from Szczecin and won contest Building of the Month – June 2012. Customer CM PARTNERS POLSKA wanted warehouse with all infrastructure like machines for grain processing and silos and other necessary equipment.  This investment is situated in Parnica near Pyrzyce (Poland).

Free span steel construction with prefabricated concrete walls is turnkey realization. Roof cladding is made of LPR without insulation and outside coating in RAL color 7038; walls are of grey LPA panels.
Warehouse is interesting because of its technical solutions like the inserted anchor bolts in side wall. Next unusual solution is concrete portal in endwall caused by necessity to create as much open space as possible. Building consists of two parts: low grain store – 19,202m and high part – 23,302m.
The production hall has got very long gutter and many skylights with total surface 382m², it is more than 10% of total roof surface. Interesting architectural solution in this building are vent openings (7,2m long and 1,5m height) and big amount of skylights which gives very little need to use electricity. This unique project was built in 5 months only.
