Jubilee Church, in Bromley, Kent (United Kingdom), decided to re-build its Place of Worship and Community Centre. The existing building on the site was 75 years old and in danger of falling down.

There then followed a period of hard work, much sacrifice and fund-raising by the Church, culminating in the demolition of the old building and the commencement of the new Jubilee Centre.

Initially, a brick-built structure was designed but proved too expensive. The Church subsequently decided on an innovative Lindab structure from UK partner Directline Structures Limited. The instruction was that, overall, the building should be affordable, but most importantly "People Friendly", reflecting ‘a building of today, not yesterday’. The new Jubilee Centre opened and in a letter of appreciation to Directline Structures Limited, the Church stated "we have a great new building, the finish of which, although unusual from a traditional point of view, is exactly how it was envisaged originally: roomy, of good quality and above all "People Friendly". Since the name – "Jubilee" – means a time of new beginnings, the Church is certainly living up to its name.
