Horizontal Cased Unit (FEMH)

For installation where floor space is at a premium and where units can be ceiling mounted. Can be installed with its back against a wall, the air intake being on the underside. The washable filter is clipped to the return grill and is easily removable. The standard supply and return air grilles are manufactured from ABS plastic, colour RAL 7047 clear grey. The cabinet is realised with heavy metal galvanized steel epoxy painted and baked at 180°C. Standard colour RAL 9010 and on request any RAL colour at Architect demand can be realised. Aluminium and painted grilles are also available.

Finned coils Tubes are manufactured from 9,5 mm (3/8”) OD copper and are staggered for greater heat transfer. High efficiency louvered aluminium fins are bonded onto the tubes, which terminate with high quality brass headers. These have gas female connections and incorporate a drain and vent tapping. Available coils for 2-pipe installation 3R and for 4-pipe installations 2R+1 or 3R+1.Automatic air vents are also available. Units are supplied as standard with pipe connections on the right when viewed from the front. Left sides connections are available, but it is also possible to reverse the handling on site by turning the heat exchanger. The maximum working pressure is 24 bar and maximum water flow temperature 120°C. U serie : 4R e 3R+1 (6T)

Unit Casings have a classic design and are constructed from 1,2 mm galvanized steel. The epoxy polyester powder finish is baked to 180°C and is applied with a minimum thickness of 80 micron on both sides. The standard colour is pure white (RAL 9010). On Architect request casings can be painted to any RAL colour. Cas- ings have locating lugs at the bottom and are held secure with two screws positioned below the discharge grille. Space at the back allows for water pipe, condensate and electrical connections. Casings are easily removed for inspection and maintenance. The discharge grille incorporates hinged flaps, which allow access to controls. The standard grille is manufactured from clear grey ABS plastic (RAL 7047) and will be set for forward defection. Deflection can also be reversed. Painted steel or anodised aluminium grilles can also be supplied.

Drain Trays galvanized sheet steel with an epoxy paint finish in both sides. On horizontal units the drain tray is fully insulated with 5 mm closed cell politeness foam, which has a class ‘1’ European std fire resistance. On vertical units, insulation only covers the area where condensate collects in the tray, which is inclined. Full insulation cover can be applied on request. Alternative insulation types and stainless steel drain trays are also possible.


Fan Decks One or more centrifugal fans are fitted with galvanized scrolls and ABS impellers, which provide a spark free application. Size 02 and 03 utilise a mon- obloc group, statically and dynamically balanced. Fan decks can be easily removed for maintenance because mounted on slides and fixed only by two screws. Electric Motors PSC/AOM V230/1/50-60Hz permanently coupled capacitor. They have sealed for life sleeve bearings and a cast aluminium enclosure rated to IP40 with built in thermal overload protection. Insulation is to class ‘B’ 6-speeds are available (3-speed wired), of which three are usually wired to a fan speed switch.
