Lindab’s 5-layer build process starts with quality steel which is then zinc coated before the application of a passive layer, a primer layer and then the final high build polyester paint finish. The result of these protective processes is an incredibly stable product finish which does not circum to attacks from wind, rain or UV. Lindab’s Rainline is backed by our 15 year guarantee*.

*This excludes galvanised.

The life expectancy of Lindab Rainline is extended to in excess of 70 years with minimal maintenance by an extra-durable high-build polyester paint coating providing protection, only annual cleaning is recommended and touch up of any scratched paint.

Lindab Rainline is coated with 275g zinc per m2 to provide durable rust proofing. Any scratch or cut to the material is automatically sealed by zinc ions, which wander to re-coat the uncovered steel as the galvanised coating is naturally self-healing.

Lindab Rainline is supplied with a 15year standard warranty. UV stable, the Lindab Rainline painted finishes have excellent colour fastness.

Available in a choice of 11 different colours, Lindab painted Rainline has 8 colours with a gloss finish and 3 colours with a metallic finish.

The whole building can be given a transformation by using Lindab Rainline Copper metallic finish guttering. Year after year the stunning copper look is maintained without the verdigris or oxidisation associated with natural copper and at a fraction of the price. 

When matching colours with other painted surfaces Lindab recommends the following:

  • Using a piece of sheet metal from the actual delivery
  • Using a sample of sheet metal from Lindab
  • Using the nearest NCS – this can still result in some degree of deviation compared with the actual delivery.
  • A test can be made by painting a small surface to see if the colour match is acceptable.​

Note: The differences in gloss between two different painted surfaces will affect the perception of the likeness of the surfaces.

Unpainted Metals

Requiring minimum-maintenance the new improved Magestic galvanised rainwater system and the supreme natural copper Rainline system provide a uniquely attractive organic aesthetic as they weather and adjust to the environment.

Lindab Magestic has a 10 year warranty while unpainted finishes are not covered by Lindab’s 15 year warranty.

Natural Copper

There is a limited range of Lindab Rainline products available in uncoated copper. Uncoated copper is a highly desirable finish as once it has transitioned into a greenish Verdigris patina it provides excellent corrosion resistance.

Stainless Steel

A stainless steel finish is only available in Lindab Rainline Vandal proof products. These vandal proof products are made from 1.5m stainless steel plate.
