Standing Seam Roofing vs Sheet Roofing

Any roof can be roofed with sheet steel in principle. The normal distance between folds is 600mm, the initial width of the strip is 670mm. A natural trait of the material is to bulge in places, if this is unacceptable the distance of the seams may be reduced to 500mm.

Sheet roofing puts old roofing traditions in use and draws attention to the sheet steel roof. This method has a stiffening effect which can be beneficial if the roof is exposed to high wind loads while still giving the roof a pattern.
