Karolinska Universitessjukhuset is with its two medical centres in Solna and Huddinge, Karolinska University Hospital is one of Europe’s largest hospitals. As with all large hospitals, continuous extension and reconstruction programmes are in progress. One of these is the construction of the new recovery department for transplant patients in Huddinge. Here, Lindab’s new RdBX stud will contribute to an efficient construction process and will ensure that the wide range of sound requirements for the department’s various room types are met.
Lindab’s customer, the building materials retailer K-Rauta, is responsible for the deliveries to Björklund & Castenhag Bygg, who is the turnkey contractor for the project.
“With help of Jonas Eriksson and Joakim Lindgren at Lindab, we’ve solved the sound problems, the quantities and everything else. What’s more, this job is larger than usual for Björklund & Castenhag and therefore it feels safe both for us and them to be able to count on Lindab.” says Lars Holmberg.
Lindab’s RdBX stud is new to Daniel Naruszewicz and the installation engineers at Björklund & Castenhag Bygg. “We hadn’t fully realised that you could simply ‘click’ the RdBX stud firmly into the roof and floor runner,” says Daniel Naruszewicz. “It looks really good and well thought-out. We also didn’t know that there was a telescopic version of RdBX. Since we have a number of varying ceiling heights, that RdBX version would probably fit in perfectly here. It would also mean simpler transportation up to the site as we could then handle significantly shorter stud lengths.”
