Lindab releases new circular fire damper for faster installation

​With Lindab’s latest product, a new generation of circular fire dampers is introduced to the Lindab Protect assortment. The FNC1U has all parts completely integrated, it is light weighted, easy to install and highly effective.

Lindab’s new circular fire damper preventing fire and hot/cold gas dispersion in the duct system is designed to protect life and property and it is the companies most integrated and easy to install damper yet on the market. All parts are built in, including the heat sensor and the brackets.
– On today’s building sites there is no time for delays or misunderstandings. Especially not when it comes to fire related products. That´s why we have invested in the development of a new, all in one fire damper. This limits the risk for mistakes and misunderstandings and speeds up the installation fase. Our new fire damper simplifies the process, saves time and cuts costs, says Jesper Karlsson, Product Manager FDS, SCS and Sales Support Nordic markets F&S at Lindab.

The fire damper FNC1U, that was launched in February by Lindab is much lighter than earlier products in the same category. A lot of attention was put into making the damper blades thinner to decrease the total weight of the product — without losing any quality. The goal was for one person to be able to carry the FNC1U without help and in addition to this, it also provides a positive effect on pressure drops and noise levels.

– When a client is installing our product, ten meters up under a roof attaching it to a concrete wall, it makes things so much easier if they can lift the product themselves, says Jesper Karlsson.

The FNC1U is made of galvanized steel and has a Lindab Safe connection with leakage class C according to EN1751. It can easily be installed in solid as well as thin walls, floor, ceiling and with distance from the wall.

– With this new damper we expand our offerings of fire dampers. Our goal is to make life easier for our customers and this is a damper that allows for quick and safe installations thanks to the Lindab Safe connection, built in damper brackets and a preinstalled heat sensor, says Jesper Karlsson, Product Manager FDS, SCS and Sales Support Nordic markets F&S at Lindab.
